Missoula Food Bank & Community Center Kicks Off 38th Annual Holiday Drive
MISSOULA – Missoula Food Bank & Community Center will begin its 38th annual Holiday Drive on Dec. 1. The fundraiser runs through Dec. 31 with a goal of raising $325,000.
Each December, the Missoula community rallies together to ensure that every family has dinner on the table during the coldest months of the year. Donations also deliver groceries to home-bound seniors and put food into the backpacks of kids for the weekends.
“Healthy food is an important part of the holiday season,” said Amy Allison Thompson, executive director of the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center. “By contributing to this year’s holiday drive, we can ensure every Missoulian has enough to eat.”
On Dec. 1, Jackson Contractor Group will match each donation received up to $10,000. Food donations can be dropped off in person at 1720 Wyoming Street. Special thanks to Jackson Contractor Group and First Security Bank.
As the primary resource for emergency food services in Missoula County, the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center served one in five people in Missoula County in 2022 – nearly 25,000 individuals and 7,500 households – through its choice-model pantry, rural satellite pantries and special programs serving children and seniors.
