Learning Kitchen & Conference Room

We envision a community that embraces food justice where social safety net programs are recognized as part of the solution.

May 9th, 10am-12pm

Campfire/Grill Cooking

Whether you want some new ideas for cooking on the grill at home so you don't heat up your house in the hot Montana summer, or you want to do some more campfire cooking while camping, this will be a fun and useful class for anyone looking for some possibly new ideas or hoping to pick up some tips or tricks- or share your own! We will use barbeque grills and cook a few different ways- with tinfoil, cast iron skillets, and cast iron sandwich presses. This class is gluten-free friendly.

Please sign up here if you plan to participate. If you aren't able to make it, please remove your name from this list so if we have a waitlist, someone else can join us!

Thanks to generous donors and volunteer cooking instructors, Missoula Food Bank & Community Center is able to offer cooking classes at no charge to participants. We just ask that participants work together to clean the space- many hands make light work!

May 12th, 4-6pm

Soups with Evelyn

Using a base recipe, Evelyn will share how it can be altered to make countless different kinds of soups.

**Please note- This is a class that was done in the fall as well. If you already attended, you're welcome to come and try making a different soup, but we just want to make sure you know that it is the same class!
