FEAST: CIVICS 101 Pt. 1
November 18 (11AM-1PM)
Government decisions affect many parts of daily life, from public schools and roads to food assistance programs and health care. At this FEAST session, participants will learn how government is structured across the city, county, tribal, state, and federal levels. Guest speakers will provide an overview of the three branches of government and explain how responsibilities are shared between different levels of leadership. The session will also take a closer look at Montana’s representation in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and how federal and state governments shape policies that impact communities across Montana. This workshop is designed to help participants build practical civic knowledge and better understand the systems that influence local issues and resources.
